What's a Wharton Degree Worth?

Just over $435,000, at least according to a federal jury.

"The Philadelphia jury last week awarded the money to Frank Reynolds, chairman and chief executive of Cambridge-based biotech start-up InVivo Therapeutics Inc.


Reynolds, 45, thought an “Executive Masters in Technology Management” degree he signed up for in 2002 would come from Wharton. Instead, it came from Penn’s engineering school.

Reynolds says he wasn’t told that until 2003, a year after he enrolled. He declined the degree until earlier this year, sued for breach of contract and won."
